SEMFAS was created by a special educator running a large resource room for students receiving SETSS — not by a software company building a generic business solution. Rayusi Inc., doing business as Rayusi Learning Center, is a special education support-services program and SEMFAS's founding user, though SEMFAS is its own separate company.
After exploring available programs and finding that none truly captured the needs of a resource room’s day-to-day function, SEMFAS was developed around the workflow of an actual Learning Center: from a family’s initial inquiry about services, through receiving services, mandates, and SETSS forms, to weekly session notes and annual reports. SEMFAS streamlines each part of the workflow by connecting every step seamlessly to the next, reducing the need to rely on individual follow-up, forwarded emails, or manually tracking down forms.
The goal was simple—to give providers more time to focus on their students, while creating a system that allows each staff member’s work to connect naturally to the next.
